This past weekend, we were privileged to host Dr. Bruce Ware for a symposium on the problem of evil. In hearing him teach, I was reminded of some very important foundational principles that we as believers should never back down from and should be teaching to our children. This is where the rubber hits the road in writing gospel curriculum.
There seems to be two extremes between keeping kids busy with fun and games and choking them with burdensome teaching. At Treasuring Christ, we try to avoid both of these extremes. As much as some might like for us to lighten up and make our lessons more game and activity focused, we refuse to do so. We unapologetically believe that teaching theology to children in an age appropriate manner matters. It is no accident that the scriptures say
So what do you think? Have you sampled or taught Treasuring Christ yet? Do you think our lessons teach good theology in an age appropriate manner? I would love to hear what you think?
